Job Title: Sponsorship Manager

Role Purpose
The Sponsorship Manager will report directly to the Head of PR & Sponsorship and be responsible for the execution of the BoyleSports sponsorship strategy from contract negotiation to activation and event execution. They will manage the existing portfolio and ensure all activity is aligned with wider business and market objectives. The Sponsorship Manager will seek out new sponsorship opportunities to support business objectives and growth ambitions. They will create a measurement framework to ensure that we monitor and maximise partnership performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the planning and execution of the BoyleSports sponsorship strategy for the UK and Ireland.
  • Create an opportunity framework to be able to accurately assess the value of new opportunities for BoyleSports, to ensure they align with the business, market and brand objectives.
  • Project manage the activation of all sponsorship assets, from digital promotion to event hosting, engaging with multiple teams across the business to ensure a 360 approach, specifically Brand, Content and Retail.
  • Manage relationships with 3rd party partners – rights holders, event management agencies etc.
  • Create a measurement framework to understand the KPIs associated with each partnership and understand the associated ROI.
  • Work with BI to create a Sponsorship Performance Dashboard to monitor KPIs and create monthly and adhoc reports.
  • Host pre-event planning workshops to gather business requirements.
  • Create a post-event analysis framework and ensure delivery in a timely manner for all partnerships.
  • Stay abreast of industry sponsorship movements to be able to capitalise on opportunities.
  • Manage 3rd party promotions teams to support event activation. Ensure they represent the brand properly, are well trained and presented.
  • Ensure maximum brand exposure for all assets, thinking creatively and negotiating added value.
  • Manage the delivery of hospitality for all BoyleSports events including events and other more traditional sponsorship partnerships.
  • Manage ambassador portfolio – contract management, personality management, activation.
  • Responsible for ordering and managing stock of branded merchandise for sponsored events and the wider marketing team.
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure smooth event delivery and activation i.e. Retail.
  • Ad hoc event hosting is required for customer-attended events.
  • Ensure Safer Gambling is at the heart of all activity.
  • A leader who mentors and develops the team by; providing development, coaching, objectives and goal setting, performance management and other people policies as required ensuring the team is motivated, productive and fully compliant with all regulations and legislation.
  • Maintain full awareness and understanding of appropriate legislation for relevant channels and ensure all activity is approved by Compliance and Legal team(s); ensure that all materials are consistent with Licence conditions and code(s) of practice; ensure all staff are trained and familiar with Responsible Gambling and AML requirements and knowledge is consistently and effectively updated.

Requirements

  • Experience working with third-party agencies
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and in person.
  • 3 years experience in a sponsorship role in the Gambling industry or similar.
  • Gaming/Sportsbook knowledge is an advantage but not essential.
  • Passion for sports is an advantage.
  • Experience working with third-party agencies
  • Availability outside of normal working hours as and when required.
  • Availability to travel when required.
  • Must have a full clean driving licence and access to a car.
  • Interest across multiple sports is essential.
